John (Jack) F. Remondi Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer

John (Jack) F. Remondi is vice chairman and chief financial officer and oversees all of the company’s business strategy and is responsible for corporate finance, investor relations, accounting and reporting, financial planning, credit policy and risk management.

Mr. Remondi originally joined Sallie Mae in May 1999 as senior vice president and treasurer as part of the acquisition of Nellie Mae, where he served as executive vice president of finance from January 2001 to August 2005. He worked as a portfolio manager of PAR Capital Management, a Boston-based private investment management firm, before re-joining the company in January 2008. Before Sallie Mae, Mr. Remondi served as chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate finance and administration for Nellie Mae, a Massachusetts-based student loan provider. Before he joined Nellie Mae in 1988 as treasurer and chief financial officer, he was employed in the financial division of BayBank.

Mr. Remondi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Connecticut College.
