Sallie Mae donates sculpture for display at Reston Town Center

RESTON, Va., July 3, 2008—Sallie Mae has donated a seven-foot sculpture for display at a park in the Reston Town Center. Titled “Iris,” the sculpture is a work in aluminum by internationally recognized artist Daniel Goldstein. The San Francisco-based artist’s sculptures, woodblock prints and collages are on display in leading galleries around the world and owned by numerous American corporations and municipalities.

The Reston-based company presented the gift to the Reston Urban Core Association, which installed it in the Reston Town Square park on the corner of Market Street and St. Francis Street in the Town Center.

“Sallie Mae is pleased to contribute to making the Reston Town Center, next to our corporate headquarters, a more beautiful place to work and play,” said Paul Smith of Sallie Mae.
